The 2010-2011 TV Season - The CW orders full seasons.

Just like the other networks, The CW have announced that they have order full season of their new shows. 

Hellcats has been picked up. The show stars Ashley Tisdale and is about a cheerleading squad. It has no UK channel airing it yet.














Nikita has also been picked up. The show which stars Maggie Q is about a rouge agent hellbent on bringing down the secret section of the government she was forced to work for. It already started airing in the UK on Living, Thursdays at 9 and it is brilliant. No wonder it's highest rating show on The CW.

One Tree Hill has also got a full season. 

The 2010-2011 TV Season - CBS loves their new shows.

So much that they've picked up all 5 freshman series for full seasons!

$#*! My Dad Says has been picked up. It's based on a twitter account believe it or not and stars William Shattner. It was no UK channel airing it yet. 

Blue Bloods has been picked up. It's about a family of New York Police and it stars Tom Selleck (Richard from FRIENDS).  It has no UK channel airing it yet. 

The Defenders has been picked up. It's about a law firm based in Las Vegas and stars Jerry O'Connell. FXUK have got the rights to show it in the UK and plan to sometime in 2011.












Hawaii Five-0 has been picked up. The show is a remake of a show with the same name that ran from 1968-1980. Bravo UK did pick up the rights to show it in the UK, but Sky bought them out and it is unclear at the moment what is happening with it.

Finally, Mike & Molly has also been picked up. The show is about two large people who grow to like each other after meeting at Overeaters Anonymous group. 
The show has already started airing in the UK on Comedy Central, Mondays at 9:30 and it is brilliant, so check it out.

Have you ever seen anything so vile. It's horrendous. They've ruined it. I've said it before and I'll say it again, America cannot remake our TV Shows. It just does not work at all. End of.

MTV EMA's 2010 - Are You Ready? She Is

She's so fierce. Kudos to her for doing this! Also Miley Cyrus has been confirmed as a performer. I like her but not so much live. Are you excited for the EMA's?

The awards show takes place on the 7th November in Madrid.

The 2010-2011 TV Season - More NBC Pick Ups

I previously told you a few days ago that NBC had ordered 3 full seasons of new shows. Time to add to the list!

First, Chase has been picked up for a full season. Again, it hasn't been doing great in the ratings but good enough. The series has been picked up by Living to show in the UK and is set to start in 2011. 

Second, Undercovers has been given an extra 4 episodes. 

And finally, the rumors are true. NBC has given Chuck, not the normal 'back 9' but a 'back 11'. So that means a 24 episode season for Chuck. That's great news for Chuck fans. 

Also I should mention ABC recently announced it was downscaling V's second season order from 13 episodes to 10. The show returns in January. 

Misfits is Back!

The hit E4 drama series Misfits returns to our screens in November and I could not be happier. Let's have a look at the trailer yeah?

Disney to distribute Marvel's Films

Ever since Disney bought Marvel Entertainment, there's been plenty of speculation over who will distribute Marvel's films. Paramount Pictures have released the recent Iron Man and sequel and the latest Hulk movie. They also planned to released the upcoming Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger and The Avengers.


Now Disney has paid Paramount $115 million to move the release rights to them.

Thor starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins is released in cinemas on 20th May 2011.

Captain America: The First Avengers starring Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson and Hugo Weaving will be released on 22nd July 2011.

The Avenger starring Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Don Cheadle and Clark Gregg will be released in cinemas on 4th May 2012.

Iron Man 3 starring Robert Downey Jr, Don Cheadle and Samuel L. Jackson will be released in cinemas on 3rd May 2013.

The 2010-2011 TV Season - NBC wants lots of Full Seasons

It's been reported that NBC has order full seasons of 3 freshman series.


The Event, which is due to air on Channel 4 this Friday at 9 has been got a full season.












Comedy Outsourced has also been picked up for a full season.














Finally, Law & Order: Los Angeles was been picked up.












All 3 shows have not exactly been doing great in the ratings but obviously well enough for NBC. There's also rumor that Chuck will get a full season, but NBC have declined to comment. 

It's a Done Deal

ITV have now signed a 3 year deal for The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent. Also they have secured the rights to show The American version of The X Factor exclusively on ITV2 alongside America's Got Talent.









There was lots of speculation about what will happen to The X Factor after Simon Cowell announced plans to take it to America and BGT after Piers Morgan announced he was leaving BGT but now we have nothing to worry about.


Simon Cowell will remain on our screens till at least 2013. Britain's Got Talent will return in the Spring of 2011. The X Factor will return later than normal in the Autumn of 2011. Spinoff shows, Britain's Got More Talent and The Xtra Factor will also return to ITV2. US X Factor will also be shown on ITV2 as will America's Got Talent. 


Cowell said: 


"I am thrilled this deal has been concluded with ITV to enable our relationship to continue to develop. I am committed to making sure both shows get bigger and better every year. I have a lot to thank ITV for; they have been key in making The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent the UK's biggest television shows."


In 2009 both finals of the two shows reached over 19 millions viewers so I bet ITV are buzzing they've secured it for another 3 years, and I am too! 

The Beginning of Soap Watch

I'm a massive soap fan, so I thought I might make regular posts on upcoming storylines in the 5 major soaps, Coronation Street, Eastenders, Neighbours, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks. 

Departing character Steph (Carla Bonner) will get a shock when her son Charlie is snatched while out with his step sister Summer (Jordy Lucas). The storyline will mean a shock return for a not yet named character who wants to cause pain to both Steph and Libby (Kim Valentine). I for one am stumped over who it could be! Also Sam Clark who plays Ringo Brown has predicted Harold Bishop (Ian Smith) will return to the soap. 

Over in Eastenders, it's been announced the new year will be filled with tragedy as a newborn baby dies. The plot will involve either Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) or Ronnie Mitchell (Samantha Womack). 

In Hollyoaks, an old villain is returning from the dead. Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) was last seen apparently dying in his club after it was set on fire by crazy Claire Devine (Gemma Bissix). Warren made his escape after seemingly dying when the roof collapsed. Now he's back and he want's his club back which is now run by Cheryl Brady (Bronagh Waugh).


In Corrie, obviously we have the upcoming tram crash for the 50th! But before then, Ashley Peacock (Steven Arnold) has an angina attack when wife Claire (Julia Haworth) pressures into moving away form the street. Also the aftermath of David (Jack P. Shepard) running over Graeme (Craig Gazey).

Drama, Drama, Drama is ahead for the Wylde's in Emmerdale as Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) is kidnapped just before his step brother Ryan's (James Sutton) trail for the murder of their dad, who was actually killed by Nathan's mother, Natasha. Also, all the Wylde's will be leaving the show by the end of the year.

Strictly Come Dancing - Brendan Cole Takes Leave For a Week

Professional Dancer and Michelle William's partner in the current series of Strictly Come Dancing, Brendan Cole will take a leave of absence from the show due the death of his father, it's been reported. 

The dancer found out about his father's death just hours before he was supposed to perform on the show. His father had been fighting Leukemia for 10 years and lost his battle. Brendan has flown back to New Zealand with his wife and brother.

Michelle Williams will be partnered with Ian Waite until Brendan returns. 

Condolences to Brendan and his family.
