Children In Need 2010

So Children In Need is over for another year and we're going to take a look at the Best Bits from the night.

I have to say first of all congratulations on raising over £18million on the night! Amazing stuff! You can still donate by calling 03457 22 33 22!

Let's discuss this for a moment. I previously mentioned they were crossing over. But I never dreamed it would be this good! So many fantastic things happened! Standout scenes for me were Kat and Liz in the Queen Vic and Ellien and Zainab with the Tram comment and Gail and Dawn in the cafe comparing their murderous husbands! What a crease! This was sheer genius and should be made an annual thing with all the soaps. Fantastic stuff.

The newsreaders performance is something to look forward to every year. And this year they went GaGa with a little help from Louie Spence. They are great! I really loved it this year. Well done!

Strictly took part in this years telethon pitting The Saturdays Rochelle Wiseman against McFly's Harry Judd! Both were very good with only having less than 10 hours training.

Loose Women took to the stage to sing "The Promise" by Girls Aloud. They did a really good job! Not bad singers... most of them anyway!

And finally. A preview for Dr Who's Christmas special.

Looks good don't it?

So those were my favourite bits from this years Children In Need. What did you make of the event? Did you donate?

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! - Alison Hammond to Enter Jungle

It's been rumored but now it's confirmed. Big Brother 2 contestant and This Morning presenter Alison Hammond will enter the jungle!

The 13th contestant will enter the jungle in an unconventional way as the Aussie residents will discover her during a task on Friday's show.

Alison wants to use the show to loose weight! She has said: "It’s not the best way to lose weight, but it would be great to lose a stone. I've been on a diet for the last six weeks and I have already lost a stone and a half, so if I can lose some more pounds, that will be fantastic. I can't wait to be smaller and I really hope I will then be able to keep the weight off! Being in the jungle will give me time to think about why I do overeat."

She's perfect the way she is! But if she wants to loose weight why not!

Have you been watching the show? Do you enjoy it this year? Will Alison be a good addition to the show? Thought please.

300th Post: I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here - Two More to Enter The Jungle

Two more "famous" faces will be entering the jungle tomorrow night!

Comedians Dom Jolly and Jenny Eclair will join the other celebrities on Thursday, or maybe not.

In a twist, the two newcomers will not enter Camp Bruce or Sheila. They will inhabit The Spook Shack for the first couple days. Will there they will be forced to take part in a trial called "The Shack".

Producers of the show had planned to put Dom Jolly and Allison Hammond in originally but changed their minds at the last minute and opted for Jenny Eclair instead. They believed it would be entertaining with two comedians together.

Allison Hammond may enter the competition at a later stage.

New Adele!

Check out Adele's new single 'Rolling In The Deep' from her upcoming album 21.

What do you think? I really like it!

Hulk's Live Action TV Show Gets A Creative Team

We previously mentioned that Marvel Comics character The Hulk will be getting a new live action TV Series in 2012.

Now Director Guillermo del Toro and Producer David Eick are teaming up to create the series. It was announced that ABC were re-making a TV version of the character last month. Toro is attached to direct the pilot episode, while Eick will script it. It is said to focus of on the origin story of a mid-20's Bruce Banner.

Toro said he and Eick has coalesced a respectful but powerful way of retelling the Banner/Hulk story in a fresh way. Eick added: "This is a dream opportunity to join one of my all-time filmmaking heroes... in a faithful but unique retelling of the primal, emotionally-rich tale of one of my all-time favourite comic books." A combination of computer effects, prosthetics and puppetry will be used to create the Hulk.

The series is expected to launch after the 2012 film The Avengers which features Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner and his monstrous alter-ego The Hulk is released.
I'm pretty excited to see this happen! Not only do we have The Avengers film to look forward to, we have this also! Marvel is really expanding into better things.

The 2010-2011 TV Season - Medium Cancelled

Medium star Patricia Arquette has said her show has been cancelled.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the actress who has played physic consultant Allison DuBois for 7 seasons of the CBS show, said there was only 2 more episodes left to film and the 7th season will be it's last.

She went on to say: "I was trying to get information from the writers about the last episode," she said. "I don't know what it's going to be, but they're really excited about it. They're like, 'We're just going to burn the whole thing down!' I'm really excited. It's been a great time. I love that time in my life."

While CBS hasn't officially announced the show's cancellation, it's safe to say that if the show's main star is saying it's cancelled, then it has.

Medium originally aired on NBC from 2005-2009 but after the 5th season, the network decided not to renew the show, even though it outperformed some of the other renewed shows. Within 24 hours CBS renewed the series for a 22 episode season. After renewing the show for a 7th, 22-episode season, the order was reduced to 13 soon after.

Soap Watch

In the cobbles, earlier this week ITV launched 'Corrie Nation'. It's a new online game which allows fans to create, populate and grow their very own Weatherfield! It is the first social networking game to be created by a British soap! Players are encouraged to complete tasks to gain access new levels and buildings and characters and iconic items in Corrie's History!
In the picture we have Julie Hesmondhalgh (Hayley Cropper), Antony Cotton (Sean Tully), Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre) and Malcolm Hebden (Norris Cole) with cartoon versions of their characters.
In other news Simon Gregson got married at the weekend so congrats to him and his wife!

A few weeks ago, I mentioned Eastenders was planning a baby terror plot for New Year which involved Kat Salter and Ronnie Mitchell. Now more details have been announced. Ronnie will steal Kat's baby after her own dies of cot death. During the New Year's celebrations, Ronnie discovers her baby is dead. After rushing to the Queen Vic, she hears Kat's baby crying upstairs and swaps the babies. That's hard-hitting stuff.
Not much going on in the Dales. They've been filming the Christmas Day episode recently and it's going to be a dramatic one by the sounds of things for Chaz, Carl and Eve! Dramaaa!

Plenty of news from Hollyoaks. Let's crack on. First of all, the fire! Steph died. We all cried. Yes I am indeed back to watching Hollyoaks. I'll give it a few weeks. Anyway, yes sadly Steph died, but the fire wasn't all that great. They jumped all over the place and it didn't work really. Confusing at times to be honest.
Moving on. Hollyoaks has confirmed that it will air a late-night special episode on 16th December. The episode will involve Claire Cooper (Jacqui McQueen), Andy Moss (Rhys Ashworth) and Anthony Quinlan (Gilly Roach) taking centre stage in the extra episode, which will feature a dark storyline focusing on Darren Day's dangerous character Danny Houston. It will also see the return of Allison Burrows (Kathleen McQueen).
Hollyoaks also confirmed a special stand-alone episode will air on 1st December, focusing on Warren Fox's mystery come-back after seemingly dying in a fire last year. All will become clear in a series of flashbacks. The details of the flashbacks however are being kept under wraps until transmission.

Who bloody pushed Paul Robinson? Rebecca did! I called that. It had to be either her or Declan. Anyway moving on, Kate will get a new love interest and I'm guessing it's going to be with Detective Mark Brennan, who's been working on the Paul Robinson case. He's just signed to be with the soap another year and also said to be getting a love interest with an established character! See i've put two and two together because I'm clever like that.
In another Neighbours news, the 2010 series finale is set to be dramatic roller-coaster claims series producer Susan Bower. Apparently, the Scully house will be on fire and a big cliffhanger will end 2010. A number of characters a re leaving the soap and details are being kept secret. The episodes will be shown in the UK in early 2011.
Also, make sure you watch this week, as it's one resident's final days! Sad times are ahead of us.

The 2010-2011 TV Season - The Event to Relaunch in 2011

NBC's The Event will get a 'relaunch' next year it's been claimed.

The show was recently given a full season despite low ratings but now in 2011 the show will be relaunched.

Bill Smitrovich who plays Vice President Raymond Jarvis said: "We will finish up with our first 13 and then there will be a break, and then we’ll come back with a one-hour compilation clip show of the first 13 so everybody can catch up with story."

Blair Underwood who plays President Elias Martinez said: "There is the crossfire competition from Dancing With The Stars, football and the number one comedy Two And A Half Men. Then, this is the type of genre show like 24 and Lost where viewership always picks up in the second season because people go back and watch during the summer or get the DVD. That builds an audience. And this show was sold in 200 international markets before it premiered here so there is incentive to keep the show going. We are in a good place."

The Event currently airs on Channel 4, Fridays at 9. Personally, I am hooked on it.
