Sky has confirmed the date of the shut down for the Bravo Channels. From 1st January 2011, Bravo, Bravo +1 and Bravo 2 will cease broadcasting, as will Channel One, formally named Virgin 1.
Back in June, Sky spent £160 million purchasing The Living TV Group which was previously owned by Virgin Media. The group includes Living and all spin off channels as well as the Bravo Channels. Sky decided to shut down Bravo because it's demographic was more or less the same as Sky1.
Sky also confirmed that Bravo's bets rated TV shows will move and spread around the Sky Channels. The shows include the critically acclaimed Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Chuck, Star Trek and others. Sky has said the full details of where these shows will go will be released in "due course".
