And here's all the details!
So, as you know, Channel 4 dropped Big Brother last year and the show ended with Series 11 and a special series which saw Brian Dowling crowned The Ultimate Housemate. There were plenty of tears and if you want to re-live it, just search for Ultimate Big Brother right here on the blog.
There were plenty of rumor and speculation that other channels might pick it up and to be quite honest I didn't think it would ever happen, but now I've been proven wrong, and Channel 5 have picked up the show in a 2 year deal with creators Endemol.
An 'all star' celebrity series will run for 4 weeks this coming August! Producers have set their sights on the likes of Amy Childs, former Big Brother stars and an odd choice of Charlie Sheen.
After that, a normal series will start in September with members of the public going into the house.
Another celebrity series will run in January followed by another normal series in the Summer, back to how Channel 4 did it.
It's also rumoured that the 24/7 live feed will return after Channel 4 cut it last year to save costs.
A presenter for the show has not been announced yet, but Davina McCall has ruled herself out. Favourites to get the job include Emma Willis who presented Big Brother's Little Brother last year, Ultimate Housemate Brian Dowling and Vanessa Feltz.
It is unknown if the voice of Big Brother, Marcus Bentley will return to tell us what day it is and what the time is.
It's also been rumoured that the prize fund will increased from £100,000 to £500,000! Wow.
So what do you BB fans think then? Will you watch it? Who do you want to present it? Will it be the same? Let me know!

3rd April 2011 Round-Up
Sunday is normally a slow news day but let's have a gander at what happened then.
1. BIG BROTHER IS BACK!
There's been plenty of rumor and speculation that Channel Five had picked up the Big Brother format after Channel 4 sadly dropped it last year, and today it's been reported that Big Brother WILL return this summer! The Daily Star (a very respectable newspaper) has claimed Channel Five which is currently going through a reinvention phase has signed a 5 year deal with BB creators Endemol. Appaz the show will return for a 4 week celebrity series in August, followed by a regular series in September.
Seems kinda odd and quick to me, but I love Big Brother. Whether it'll be the same or as good as it once was is another thing. There won't be any Davina McCall as host because she's said her goodbyes and left the house. So who will host the show? Will there still be a Geordie narrator? Who will be the celebrity contestants? Will it be just as good? Hmms. Let's hope so. I'll give it a year before I decide whether to apply to go on it ;)
2. Charlie Sheen is a joke.
I don't know if you've heard of this guy called Charlie Sheen? There was the whole drama over him being crazy and fired from this show he's in called Two and a Half Men. It wasn't reported that much so I don't blame you for not knowing about it. ANYWAY he went on, what, some sort of comedy tour? is that what it is? Yeah we'll go with that. A comedy tour, which sold out in minutes. He debuted last night in the good city of Detroit and the audience was less than pleased and booed him of the stage after 15 minutes. That's what I like to call awkward. Sheen didn't return to the stage after the intermission.
3. Hello! New album from Beyonce in June?
I love me some Beyonce like. What a woman! After the amazement of her last album, could she do any better? Probably. According to reports, Beyonce, who just recently ended her profession relationship with her father Mathew Knowles has played 6 new tracks to her label bosses and they could not be happier. One has said "It was just amazing. These songs, the best description I can give them is groudbreaking. She's gone to another level." Once he removed his head from her arse that is. Her new album will be be released in June to coincide with her Glastonbury Festival performance. Handy ;) looking forward to it though!
4. Don't worry though, she's still, she's still Jenny from the Block. It's fine!
You've probably heard Jennifer Lopez's new track 'On The Floor' with Pitbull by now right? I mean where have you been if you haven't heard it. SHAME ON YOU, because it is a bloody good song and it's only gone and knocked Adele off the top spot in the UK Charts! FINALLY. Not that I don't love Adele and that song but come on, surely people still couldn't be buying it! Every household in Britain must have a copy. Seriously though, congratulations on your 3rd UK Number One Jennifer Lopez. It's well deserved and I cannot wait for your album to hit at the end of this month. I'm gonna be honest with you, I think, your back! Niice.
Oh also there was a Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Awards and people got slimed and people won crappy awards. Meh is the word I choose to use to describe that event.
ALSO look out for a post dedicated to our beloved Essex tomorrow where I'll be taking a look at tonight's scrumptious episode, after of course I've got back FROM GOING TO SEE KATY PERRY! Yes! Expect a post about that too! EXCITING TIMES PEOPLE!

Ultimate Big Brother - My Final Ever Big Brother Blog
It's been a week since Big Brother ended. I was going to do this blog straight after the final, but I was too tired, so I've left it till now.
Big Brother was a big part of my life. I watched 10 out of 11 Series and every episode of those 10 series. Some would call me sad, but I call it dedication. I enjoyed the show. It was hilarious, it taught me life lessons, it was something to talk to other people about, it was something to have an opinion on, it was amazing.
I always wanted to take part in the show. I thought it would be an amazing experience and yes I admit, I could be famous afterwards and that excited me. At least once in your life, you wish you were famous. Obviously you had to be 18 to apply. Sadly it ended before I reached that age. One more year and I could have since auditions take place around the time of my birthday. I talked about applying to my friends and family and most of which said they would support if me if I ever got the chance to do it, which would of been amazing, knowing that I have people supporting me on the outside.
I guess you could call me a Big Brother freak since I remember the majority of housemates and which series they were from. It comes in handy when BB comes up in conversation and I appear intelligent (or just pathetic to some). They can have their opinion. If I went on to that show I would want someone to remember me.
I'm going to start talking about my favourite things now:
Favourite Series: 1st place is Series 7.
There is so much to talk about from this series. First of all how could we not talk about Nikki Grahame. She made that series. Her tantrums were genuinely hilarious and when ever she went into the the Diary Room, it was guaranteed to make us laugh at some point. Her love interest with series winner Pete Bennett was too cute. They were kind of perfect for each other, until they broke up but nevermind. Good things don't last for ever as you can tell with BB. But let's not forget the other housemates of series 7. There was Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace. She wasn't an original housemate and I tend not to like them, but this girl, I loved. In week 6 she was voted to move into the secret house next door while the other housemates thought she had been evicted. In the secret house she was joined by 5 new housemates. If I remember correctly she had to choose who went into the house one by one and was eventually left with two. She evicted Jonathan who holds the record for the first housemate who never actually entered the house! Watching Aisleyne make this hard decision and the aftermath was awful. It was so heart-breaking for her. At least she knew her self though. Welsh lad Glyn Wise who came second was great too. However he is only remembered for entering the house dressed as a lifeguard and -sings the song- boiling an egg for the very first time ahmm ahmm.
Actually you know what? Just watch this video. Pretty much sums it up.
See what I mean?
2nd place is series 5!
3rd place is series 8!
That was actually hard choosing the last one. Feel free to watch more Best Bits here.
I think my favourite housemate is Brian Belo. I was gutted he didn't take part in Ultimate Big Brother. He would have done well. I think it's because I can relate to him because he's such a massive fan of BB, even after he went into the house. (Although I haven't taped every single episode like he has, as shown on Come Dine With Me!) He's so funny and silly and the kind of guy that I would want as a friend and the kind of person who I would want to be in there with, as long as they didn't win! That would be my job.
I think my favourite task would be from Series 6. The Box task. It was so simple yet so brilliant. All the housemates had to do was sit in a box with their picture on for the longest time. It was hilarious!! Also notable is the Electric shock task from Series 9!
My favourite presenter of course has to be Davina. I think the fact she loved the show so much made her the best person for the job. I loved how involved she was and even when their was controversy she didn't distance her self from it. She bared with it even during pregnancy and she is a true legend.
Big Brother has had it's highs and it's lows, but there's no doubting it's been on hell of a ride and I've enjoyed every minute of it. RIP Big Brother. Maybe you'll be resurrected by Channel Five if they have any sense.

Ultimate Big Brother - Big Brother's Last Ever Show Ever - Part 4
Ohmydays. It's so sad. This is it. The Final Hour of Big Brother. It starts of with Davina arriving in a car like the housemates used to do to enter the show. The crowd is silent and she makes a speech. Then it irrupts into a party!!!
Last Titles Roll!!
3rd place is...
CHANTELLE! The final 3 are my the favourites to win so I'm happy either way now. Anyway Chantelle Houghton! I rolled my eyes when she entered but she's just amazing. So sweet and lovely and really funny and genuine and a wonderful housemate. She won the celebrity series and she wasn't even a celebrity and now she's came 3rd from 267 housemates! BRILLIANT. Well done Chantelle. Well deserved. I hope she gets everything sorted with Preston! Whatever happens I hope she's happy at the end of it. That's all that matters.
So here we go! Brian and Nikki. 2 of the best housemates of all time. They have rightfully got their place in the final!
In an amazing 2nd place is...
'This is Davina, please do not swear'
NIKKI!! She's just amazing! I loved her originally and I loved her more this time round. I love how she feels about Big Brother and what it's done for her and how it's changed her life for the better and it's just so genuine and real. She's hilariously funny, great entertainment and definitely the 2nd best housemate of all time really. Well done Nikki! I feel so happy.
So this means that our Ultimate Housemate of all time is...
BRIAN DOWLING!!!! I'm so happy right now. It's mixed emotions really, but right now I'm happy. Brian is our Ultimate Housemate! So deserving. He's funny, entertaining... just amazing really. I'm so glad he won. I'm running out of words now and I'm just repeating my self! Well done Brain, our Ultimate Big Brother Housemate who go 49.7% of the vote. We love you! Fact: Brian has never faced eviction ever and won twice!!
Seeing Brain leave the house was terribly emotional. It's the last time someone will leave that house. It's the last time for loads of things.
Oh god. I had to stop writing because I needed to watch the last 15 minutes without distraction. I cried. More on this later, in one last Big Brother Blog. :(
Ultimate Big Brother - Big Brother's Last Ever Show Ever - Part 3
So it's time for Davina's Big Sendoff with George Lamb! It's set in the Big Brother's Big Mouth studio and the audience is full of ex-housemates. I love seeing ex-housemates!! I feel so sorry for Davina. I would have broken down in tears by now!
So here's some of Davina's favourite moments.
Big Brother 9: Mikey gets hit by a ball while in the pool. LMFAO
Big Brother 5: Emma looses her top!
Big Brother 8: Mario dunks his custard creams in his hot juicy tea.
Big Brother 11: Andrew becomes that dude from 24.
Ultimate Big Brother: Brian hits his foot and spins round while being sick from the chillies and milk.
Westwood's clip of the decade was when Davina stripped down to her bikini during a series 6 interview.
Davina's sexiest housemate is Stuart Pilkington from Series 9, her favourite couple was Luke and Rebecca from Series 9 and her favourite ever housemate is Brian Dowling from Series 2 and currently a contender to be crowned Ultimate Housemate!
Davina has been amazing! I'm glad she's stuck with the show all the way through and I don't think anyone else should present it because it would just be wrong and weird and it wouldn't work. She truly is a legend. I love you Davina McCall. I hope you don't cry your eye's out during the next show.
Again, stay tuned to find out who is crowned the Ultimate Housemate!!
BTW Pete Burns singing was EPIC. We love him here at Sameesh!!!!
Ultimate Big Brother - Big Brother's Last Ever Show Ever - Part 1
Highlights from yesterday, the last full day of Big Brother. Marcus Bentley entered the house for Big Brother's Big Funeral. It was unbelievably sad. More tears!! The highlights weren't long. Short and sweet. We also got to see the production of the eviction shows which was really good.
So in 7th place!
Ulrika! I loved Ulrika. I'm a bit gutted she didn't get further but I'm glad she took part and made it this far. She's had her ups and downs like everyone else but always came out with a smile on her face! Just what we like.
Moving on to 6th place!
Preston! I believe he was only there because Chantelle was to be honest. He wasn't a memorable housemate. Nice enough but not memorable and certainly not the Ultimate housemate! Glad he's out! Although I kind of would like to see him get back with Chantelle and make it work! That would be nice.
5th place is...
Nasty Nick Bateman! He's really surprised me this series. He's not nasty at all and his relationship with Victor was just sheer genius! I'm glad he went in and I'm glad he walked out through the front door for the first time ever!! Good on him.
So 4th place is...
Victor! I called it. I didn't like him the first time round but I did this time. He was hilarious. Didn't deserve to win at all but I'm glad he went in. I didn't even think of him when I first heard of this so good on him for getting this far.
To end the show, a fitting tribute to Jade Goody, perhaps the most well known housemate in Big Brother History, was played. It showed the highs and the terrible lows of her life. Whatever your opinion on Jade, she was an amazing housemate and what she did for her 2 boys before she died was great. Making sure they were finically secure. R.I.P Jade Goody, the Ultimate Big Brother Housemate.
So that's our first show wrapped up! Next is Dermot's Last Supper. Stay tuned throughout the night!
Ultimate Big Brother - Major Update
Since I've been on holiday, the blog has been missing it's Big Brother updates (with the exceptions of Melissa's wonderful eviction blog) so this is a update on all things Big Brother before tonight's finale!
So these are the people who are still currently in the house and have a place in tonight's final!
Let's go back where I left off.
1st September: Housemates were given a Retrospective shopping task. Preston was given a task he had already done when he was originally on the show. To eat a full box of chocolate liquer's. Last he was sick, this time his objective was not to be sick. He passed!. Makosi was given 'Miss Unpopular'. When she entered BB6, she was unlucky 13 and had to get the most nominations in order to stay. This time she had make her self very unpopular by being rude and insulting people. The other housemates were told that was not her task. The housemates had to ignore everything she does to make herself unpopular and do the opposite and make her feel popular. She passed! Ahmed from BB5 returned briefly and began smashing plates in the kitchen and garden like he previously did because the morning alarms! This wasn't a task. Nike and Ulrika had to perform 'Endless Love' like Ulrika did with Verne Troyer in her Celebrity Series. They had to gain a certain amount of video views on the Big Brother website. They failed!
2nd September: Chantelle, Nadia and Victor had to reform Chantelle's fake bad Kandy Floss (with a K). When Chantelle went in the Celebrity series, she wasn't a celebrity but had to make the other celebes think she was. She claimed to be in a band called Kandy Floss. They failed! Meanwhile Makosi got a picnic in the garden... with Anthony Hutton! I'm sure you know what happened between those two! For Brian's task when ever he heard his quote "Now dance with me Bubble!" from his series, he had to run outside to the podium and wait for his partner to dance with. His partners were Marco Sabba from BB5, Glyn Wise from BB7 and twins Samanda from BB8!
3rd September: For Nikki's task, she had to become Big Brother's PA again. Her boss was ex-boyfriend and BB7 winner Pete Bennett. Michelle's task was to sing 'Pie Jesu' has she had previously done in her series for the Wedding task which also took place again with Victor being the groom! Before that, Makosi and Nadia were evicted as Melissa previously reported. Back to the wedding. As Michelle and her choir preformed outside the house, the bride entered. Our new housemate Vanessa Feltz!! I did not expect that at all!
4th September: Rex Newmark from BB8 re-entered the house as part of a task. Dressed as the devil, he gave housemate an individual task which was evil and they had to be silent while doing it. Jon Tickle from BB4 also entered briefly.
5th September: Shock Nominations! Nominations with a twist! A very hilarious twist. Once in the diary room, housemates had to spin the wheel and whatever it landed on that's how they had to nominate. The choices included gargling, miming, raping and drawing. In the end Michelle, Nick and Vanessa were nominated. Later, the housemates were given and TV show task. They created the Feltz Show.
6th September: Victor was given a task from the Tree of Tempation to get the other housemates to bitch about each other and record them. he failed epically and therefore had to face the wraith of the tree! Which meant wearing a tree costume and a task which meant eating disgusting foods from around the world and guessing where they came from.
7th September: Britain's Got Talent runner-up Flawless entered the house as part of a task. The had to learn a dance to the Big Brother theme tune. They passed the task.
8th September: Davina McCall entered the house. She gave each of the housemates a letter from home and it was all very emotional as she said her last goodbye to the house. Later on though Michelle and Vanessa were evicted and the final 7 were revealed.
9th September: Today was a very, very sad day. Marcus Bentley the narrator if the series entered the house for the funeral of Big Brother. You can see that on tonight's show.
So don't forget to watch the final tonight which begin at 7:30!! And then check back here later for my final Big Brother Blog.
So these are the people who are still currently in the house and have a place in tonight's final!

Ultimate Big Brother - The Beginning
When I first heard about Ultimate Big Brother I could not have been more excited. My favourite housemates living together and competing for champion of champions? What is not to love!
The cast of UBB has been kept very secret. You might remember a week or so ago I posted a blog which included a promo poster for UBB. It fueled my excitement that some of those people would be back and I am kind of disappointed.
So first of all we have Josie, the winner of Big Brother 11!
She left the Big Brother house crowned the winner of the current series, had her interview with Davina and then made her way back into the house! She was literally outside for 20 minutes! Josie deserves to be there so much! She is a legend and rightfully takes her place amongst other Big Brother legends... or so we thought!
Next to enter the house was Chantelle Houghton, the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 4!
Chantelle went into the CBB house as a non celebrity. The twist that year was, send in a normal girl and make her other housemates believe she is a celebrity like them! Brilliant! It worked too since she won! Since leaving the house originally she got married to Preston from the Ordinary Boy's whom she met in the house. They divorced after 9 months. Chantelle also modeled and acted. She was a nice enough girl in CBB4 and still is I presume so not a bad choice but I would have preferred someone else. Definitely not the best Big Brother has to offer.
Next to enter was Preston from Celebrity Big Brother 4!
YES! You read correct! As Chantelle went in, next to follow her was only her bloody ex-husband! GENIUS! This is just draaamaaa waiting to happen and kudos on Big Brother for doing that. While I take no joy in a couple's marriage failing, seeing these two in the house together will be enjoyable! Preston is from the band The Ordinary Boys, who did that song and then split up but got back together again after Preston got 'famous' and then split again as soon as we forgot who he was. Another reunion perhaps? Haha.
Next to get back in the house was Nadia Almada who won Big Brother 5!
The girl/former man who showers in stiletto's is back! And it's fantastic to see her. Nadia, who is from Portugal (which is where I'm off to on holiday a week today) used to be a man. Get over it! Every person to their own I say. It doesn't make a difference to me what so ever. I love Nadia for who she is. She is one of my favourite housemates ever! Did you know she released a song? You should listen to it! It's a fantastic song. Go Nadia!
Next to go back was Brain Dowling, the winner of Big Brother 2!
Another one of my favourite housemates ever! Brian is just amazing. He won the first series I ever watched! He's just a funny, nice guy. After winning, Brian went into presenting. He presented SMTV: Live and many other things. He also continued taking part in reality shows, such as Hell's Kitchen! Brian is going to be a great housemate! He's witty and hilarious. What is there not to love!
Next to enter was Ulrika Johnson, winner of Celebrity Big Brother 6!
Ulrika Johnson is one of these people where you either like or her don't. I like her. I have no problem with her. She never really crossed my radar until CBB6. She seemed a decent enough person and I was glad she won. Ulrika can be seen on Shooting Stars which is a weird terrible show :|
Next in was Makosi Musambasi who came 3rd in Big Brother 6!
Most famous for having "sexual intercourse" with Anthony Hutton in the pool and then asking for a pregnancy test, Makosi was a decent housemate. Full of draaamaaa which is want we love, but so annoying. She hasn't really done anything since leaving the house. (She couldn't even remember what series she was in) I dont expect her to do well in UBB, but good luck to her. And for crying out loud do not let her in the pool.
Next to come back was John McCririck who took part in Celebrity Big Brother 3!
The less said about this 'thing' the better. As he said when we went in, "JOHN OUT! JOHN OUT!" Vile man.
Moving on, next to enter was Coolio who finished 3rd in Celebrity Big Brother 6!
Has-been.
Next to enter was Nikki Grahame, who finished 5th in Big Brother 7!
My favourite housemate ever! I was waiting all night for her to arrive. "WHO IS SHE?" Nikki is a serious contender to win this. She's a legend in her own right. Since leaving Big Brother, she went on to have her own show, won a National Television Award and wrote 2 books! I love Nikki.
Finally the last person to enter was Nick Bateman from Big Brother 1!
Nasty Nick is back. He was on the scene before my time. I started watching from series 2, but Nasty Nick is a big part of Big Brother history and I pretty much know everything. Once the most hated man in Britain for writing names on a piece of paper ( god we were easily shocked back then) Nick is back and I suppose he has a right to be there. I'm glad they have someone from the first series.
So that's your lot. What do you think? Are you happy with the Ultimate Big Brother housemates? Who would you change? Let us know.
P.S: Word is 2 more housemates will enter the house after the first eviction on Friday! So make sure you watch!
The cast of UBB has been kept very secret. You might remember a week or so ago I posted a blog which included a promo poster for UBB. It fueled my excitement that some of those people would be back and I am kind of disappointed.

Big Brother 2010 - The Final
Note: I think I'll do the final of BB and the start of Ultimate BB in separate posts so look out for the next one!
Andrew! I was kind of surprised when Davina called his name for 5th place. I was expecting JJ. Andrew was a decent housemate but didn't really do anything. Still, well done to him!
Okay! So Big Brother Series 11 is over and done with -silently cries-
As you know from previous posts and general knowledge, the 5 finalists were Andrew, Dave, JJ, Josie and Mario!
5th Place:
Andrew! I was kind of surprised when Davina called his name for 5th place. I was expecting JJ. Andrew was a decent housemate but didn't really do anything. Still, well done to him!
4th Place:
JJ! Like I just said, I expected him to come 5th but 4th is good enough I suppose. I'm just glad he didn't get further. He's a nice enough bloke and all but come on. He won't be remembered will he? Only thing going for him, is he knows Aston from JLS!
3rd Place:
Mario! Uuugh. My hate for Mario grows every time I see his face. I'm so happy he didn't win! He never deserved to, he never deserved to be there. He's a massive fake and even the housemates branded him a snake today after they revealed their nominations. Played the game and failed! I laugh at his attempt. Loser.
2nd Place:
Dave! I'm so happy Dave came 2nd. GLORY! He has transformed during his time in the house. He went in a fat, scary monk man and came out a not so fat, not so scary and actually decent person. He annoyed me at first as everyone does (except Josie) but as time went on Dave was definitely one of my favourites. Good luck to him in whatever he chooses to do next!
and the winner is with a staggering 77.5% of the vote...
JOSIE! I knew she would win since Day 1 and I'm honestly not just saying that because she's just won. Josie is a legend. I would love to be her friend. She's a genuine, nice, good hearted person who has the best laugh and sense of humor I've known in all of Big Brother. During her interview when Davina asked what she planned to do with her winnings, Josie said she would give £20,000 to her charity and pay for Steve's legs! Good for her! This a fantastic example when Josie deserved to win and why she is such a nice person. Beautiful girl! Marry me? Also good luck to her in Ultimate Big Brother! It's tough competition but just getting there is an achievement in it's self. Well Done girl! <3
So the last series of Big Brother is finished. It's been a cracking year to say the least.
We've had 21 housemates, 3 walked, 1 left due to injury, 2 escaped, 1 came back.
We had a flood!
We had amazing tasks!
We had the Tree of Temptation!
We had Bob Righter
We had Sam Pepper!!!!
We've had tears, laughter, drama, fights and good times.
Fantastic series! Do you agree? Are you happy Josie won? Let us know :)

Big Brother 2010 - The Big Brother Flood
Tonight, the housemates left the Big Brother house...
... because it sprung a leak.
According to digitalspy the draaamaaa began when Josie and John James were lying in bed (what else would they be doing?) and they noticed a leak in the roof. Appaz there was a freak storm and the roof began to leak and the house started to "flood". Housemates were escorted from the house to a nearby building. They are all safe! Thank God!
I'm sorry but they evacuated the house because the roof over the bedroom had a leak? I don't know how big this leak was but come on! There's plenty of other rooms in the house! A bit of OTT here don't you think? :|
EDIT:
Actually! I take back everything I just said after seeing this video :O
Another EDIT: Davina McCall has posted on her Twitter that the housemates are now back in the house! Happy Days for all!
