2nd April 2011 Round-Up

So what happened today in the world of celebrity and TV and movies and music and stuff? Glad you asked because here's your daily round up ;)

1. Simon Cowell will appear on our X Factor?

Yeah, I'm sick of hearing about it too, but lets be honest, it's news worthy. There's been lots of talk over the past few months about who will be on the X Factor judging panel on both sides of the Atlantic. So it looks like Simon  WILL continue to judge our version as it was rumoured he wouldn't.

I AM GOD!
Let's be real here for a second. The UK X Factor would not be the same without our beloved Simon! He's partly the reason we watch it because he's brutally honest with the terrible singers which we all love! Imagine watching the show without his witty comments or his dislike of twins and Louis Walsh! Imagine. How boring would it be? While this is all just hear say, I really don't think Simon will leave us for America. If he can do both shows that would be great. Just nap on the jet yeah?

2. Essex/Blue drama!

I know you have all been watching the new series of TOWIE! And you've been loving it right? So we have a few new characters and one of them being Chloe Sims who just recently revealed she has a child! After i picked my jaw up of the floor, today it was revealed by Simon Webb's (from Blue) girlfriend that she found him in bed with Chloe Sims! DRAMA ALERT! Obviously she decided to sell her story to a newspaper and said she found them her on top of him in their bed and she was devastated. Both Simon Webb and Chloe from Essex deny the accusations from the girl that SOLD HER STORY TO THE NEWSPAPERS EXPOSING HER FAMOUS BOYFRIEND AS A CHEAT JUST BEFORE HE'S ABOUT THE REPRESENT HIS COUNTRY AT EUROVISION. Yeah.

3. Here! The Hangover Part II has a new trailer!

Let's have a deeks:

Amazing. Comes out 27th May 2011 which is actually quite soon so yay! Hands up if your excited?

4. Nicole Scherzinger has gone back to the studio.

Wait! Didn't you just release your debut album? Why are you going back in the studio to record new material when you have an album full of amazing song waiting to be released so I can dance to in the clubs? CLUB BANGER NATION? WET? SAY YES? KILLER LOVER? Anyone of those would do nicely while I'm out in Mushroom having a jug of Skittles with one straw! Just sayin'. If you haven't listened to her album yet, I highly recommend it! It's brilliant!

And that's it for today! In a bit!

The X Factor - Live Shows Week Seven: The Results

So it's time for the results show. Olly Murs gave a great performance of his new single and The X Factor finalists singing this years charity single was great too!

So in the bottom two thing was:
Cher Lloyd

Paije Richardson

Simon sent home Paije.
Cheryl sent home Paije.
Dannii sent home Cher.
Louis sent home Paije.

Yes, Paije has been booted out thank god! It's criminal that Wagner was not in the bottom two and got all excited about it. it was criminal that Cher was in the bottom two, but she played it smart and sang the song which she is most recognized for and the song in which I became a fan of her.

But we have The Wanted, Justin Bieber AND Nicole Scherzinger next week so that will be exciting!

What did you think of tonight's result?

The X Factor - Live Shows Week Six: The Results

So it's time for the results! First of all. I have to say. Why do the finalists mine during their group performances? They look so stupid. Especially Paije.

Anyway, JLS sang good, and then Westlife sang crap and then Take That sang amazing!

Back to results. In the bottom two were:

Katie Waissel
Aiden Grimshaw

I'm totally shocked Aiden is in the bottom two! How did Paije and Wagner get through? Christ.

Simon sent home Aiden.
Cheryl sent home Aiden.
Dannii sent home Katie.
Louis sent home Katie.

DEADLOCK.

Oh dear. Oh dear, oh dear. How could this have happened. Aiden has been eliminated over Katie? This is so wrong.

What do you think about tonight's controversial elimination? (yet another one!)

The X Factor - Was It A Fix?

Nearly 15 million of us watched it and we all know what happened. Well, incase you don't, here's the crack-a-lack.

  • Katie and Treyc were in the bottom two.
  • Katie sang first, forgot her words, generally did bad and ended up saying "sod it" and sat on the floor until the music ended.
  • Treyc sang and was alright.
  • Simon voted to save Katie.
  • Cheryl refused to vote since they were both her acts.
  • Dannii voted to save Treyc.
  • Louis voted to save Katie.
  • Treyc was voted out of the competition.
Obviously there's been plenty of backlash and controversy. What is The X Factor without it right?

So I have a few questions!

  • Why did Simon vote for Katie? She clearly messed up the song and the judges are supposed to vote on that performance they've just seen, not anything else.
  • Why did Dermot O'Leary go to Cheryl straight after Simon? Whenever this has happened in the past and it has happened, they always went to the judge who has both acts in the bottom last! So why did they go to Cheryl straight after Simon? Why change the rules?
  • Cheryl refused to vote. Fair enough. I don't think I could do it either! BUT She did say leave me to the end and I'll take it to deadlock, which means it reverts back to public vote. Why didn't they do that? Why didn't they go back to Cheryl and take it deadlock, which she said she would?
  • Why did Louis vote for Katie? Same as Simon, she clearly messed up. Treyc sang better than her, surely he should have saved her?
I didn't like Treyc. I don't think many people did because she never connected with the audience. She's one of those acts when she's there but you don't remember her. Even when she was on stage, I asked "Who's that?" I feel it was unfair she was voted out under such bad circumstances but to be honest, I would rather have seen her go, over Katie. Katie has personality! She gives good performances too (sometimes) and she's memorable!

I want to know what you think about all this? Was it a fix to keep Katie in who gets more headlines than an other contestant? Or was it innocent? Should Cheryl have voted? Should they have gone to deadlock? Should Simon and Louis have voted for Katie?

The X Factor - Live Shows Week Five: The Results

Time for the results! After a decent performance from previous X Factor Shayne Ward and an amazing performance from legend, Kylie Minogue in the bottom two were:

Treyc Cohen
Katie Waisel

Bad times for Cheryl Cole.

So after Katie breaks down during her performance and "sods it" and Treyc drones on here's how the vote went:

Simon sent home Treyc.
Cheryl obviously refused to vote.
Dannii sent home Katie.
Louis sent home Treyc.

And with that Treyc was eliminated.

My predictions keep coming true. Now I only have 2 acts left that need to go, then it gets tough.

What did you think of tonight's dramatic results show? Controversy is brewing.

The X Factor - Live Shows Week Five

Was it me, or was this episode a lackluster? The majority of the contestants weren't great. Good but not great. Another thing, the themes. How awful are they this series. For one they are very broad and and even with that the judges do not stick to them and find silly ways of making them okay. Total Eclipse of the Heart is a halloween song because it was the word Eclipse in it? Yeah, okay Simon Cowell.

Okay so moving on tonight's performances. There was only 2 fantastic performances. The rest were either alright or rubbish. Let's have a look shall we?

Best:

There are no words to describe this other than beautiful. He has a very big chance of winning this and he could do it too.

She's stunning. I wasn't keen at the start of the competition but she's such a star and sings every song perfectly and beautifully. Another big contender to win this.

Worst:

It wasn't bad, I just don't really like her. And I'm pretty sure plenty of other people don't either. She's like John Adeleye. She's there but nobody remembers he is. I hope she leaves soon.

Great song, great staging, but unfortunately Paije is singing it and I don't like him. He's like John too. Do you remember him? Do you talk about him with your friends? No is your answer, so he should leave too. And with the rumors of a double elimination this weekend, these two should go! Along with...

... this! Ohmydays. He's like a scary perv. I couldn't even watch this. That poor girl must be traumatized and need therapy after this, or just a very long shower. Get him out! And Louis Walsh, please call him by is name. It's very rude.

And the rest were alright, but not great.

What did you think?

Make sure you watch the results show tonight where Kylie Minouge is performing!!

The X Factor - Live Shows Week Four: The Results

So it's time for the results and after a good performance from Bon Jovi and the contestants, a frosty performance from Jamiroquai because of his comments about Cheryl and Dannii and a great performance from Rihanna, in the sing off were:

Belle Amie

Katie Waisell

After both acts sang for their survival,

Simon sent home Katie.
Cheryl sent home Belle Amie.
Dannii sent home Bell Amie.
Louis sent home Katie.

Which brought us to our first deadlock of the series and they revert back to the public vote and the act with the lowest votes were:

Yes, Belle Amie were voted out of the competition in their 2nd time in the bottom 2. It was going to happen sooner or later. The sad thing is, they gave a great Judges House performance and then the live shows were just lackluster. Also the fact, girl-bands just don't do well on this show. Bye girls.

What did you think tonight's performances and results?

The X Factor - Live Shows Week Three: The Results

Time for the results show and only one act will be leaving this week.
After amazing performances from Michael Buble and Wor Cheryl Cole, in the bottom two were:
John Adeleye

Treyc Cohen

Louis sent home Treyc.
Dannii sent home John.
Cheryl sent home John.
Simon sent home John.

The right person has left. John was boring and didn't stand out at all. I feel like Wagner should go next. As much as I love his performances, Louis has turned him into a joke on purpose, like he did with Jedward last year. It's not fair to them.

Are you happy with who left and who do you want to leave next week?

The X Factor - Live Shows Week Three

This week it's "Guilty Pleasure's". I'm going to start off by saying this is the most weirdest week ever. Guilty Pleasure's? Really? Oh well.

Anyway let's crack on and look at my best and worst performances.

The Best Performances:

I don't like Cher Lloyd, but this was great. I can't get it out of my head. Good for her.

Obviously Mary Bryne is in this section. She's amazing, but like I said last week and even a couple of judges this week said the same.

Another surprise this week. Katie was a great. Again, same as Cher, I don't like her but this was really good.

The Awful Performances:

I don't know a single person who talks about or even likes John. He should leave soon. Louis is a terrible mentor.

And that's your lot. Make sure you watch the results tonight at 8 on ITV and check back here incase you miss it!

The X Factor - Live Shows Week Two: The Results

OhMyGod! First of all, Katy Perry (who I got a ticket for yesterday) was amazing as always. Wow. Also Diana Vickers was good too. (I'm going to see her too!)

Now to the serious bits. In the bottom 3 were:

Belle Amie
Storm Lee
Diva Fever

From the public vote, Storm Lee was eliminated and I'm really pleased. He was has-been and he was not good at all. I'm glad he went.

Time for the final showdown and both are Simon's acts. Bad times for him.

Louis sent home Diva Fever!
Dannii sent home Diva Fever!
Cheryl sent home Diva Fever!

With the unanimous vote, Diva Fever were the second act of the night to be eliminated and again. thank god! I really didn't like them. A bit too much for my liking. I bet Simon is glad he didn't have to vote between his two acts. I'm so happy Belle Amie were saved!

What did you think of tonight's results? Are you happy or upset with the people that went? Let us know down below!

The X Factor - Live Shows Week One:The Results

Here we go with The X Factor's Results Show where 2 acts will be leaving.
First Usher performed 'DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love/O.M.G' and it was alright. Not great. Just like the VMA's, all about the dancing instead of the singing. Still good although.
Then previous X Factor Winner and fellow Geordie, Joe McElderry sang his new single 'Ambitions' and it was rather good!
Now time for the results. The bottom three were:

And Nicolo is out of here! I'm glad. His cocky attitude did him no favours and he was crap.

So F.Y.D and Katie are in the sing-off. Simon sends home Katie. Cheryl sends home F.Y.D. Dannii send home F.Y.D And finally Louis sends home F.Y.D, which means they are out of the competition!

So this is who were left with:

I feel like other people should have gone, but with the people who were in the bottom three, the right choices were made. Nicolo was bad and in the sing-off, Katie was 10x better than F.Y.D, who weren't great to begin with.

What did you think of tonight's results? Did the right people go? If not, who should have gone? Let us know your thoughts!

The X Factor - Live Shows Week One

12.2 million of us watched it but incase you weren't one of them here's what happened on The X Factor last night.

The first live show kicked off with the reveal of the big twist although we already knew what is was. (It's hard to keep secrets from us) Wildcards! Each mentor choose one act they had sent home at judges houses to bring to the life shows as their wildcards.

So again when you read this imagine the X Factor voiceover man is saying it because his voice is the best I've ever heard.

Simon has brought back Diva Fever!

Dannii has brought back Paije Richardson!

Louis has brought back Wagner Carrilho!

and finally Cheryl brought back Treyc Cohen (she needs to learn how to spell her name)

So there's our 4 wildcards!

Then we started with the performances:

Best:

This woman is AMAZING. FACT. She absolutely killed it. I got chills just watching her and her reception from the crowd was immense. For someone who was suffering form laryngitis this week, to give this performance? Here's our winner.

I've liked Aiden all through the competition except for when he closes his eyes when he sings. That gets on my nerves but this performance was fantastic. Second best performance of the night and I expect him to go far.

Let's have a look at the worst performers:

I'm surprised Louis brought him back, because he really is awful. He seems like a nice either dude, I'm sure, but come on. Imagine listening to a full album of that! Just no.

Jedward mark 2 but with more camp? I think so. I don't understand how they can say this is a group when only 1 person sings? The other one just didn't do anything except jump around like a prat and look horrendous!! This was pretty bad.

Uuugh! I hate arrogant and cocky people! And he's the biggest of them all! He ruined that song.

So that's my opinion. What did you guys think of the first live show? And who will go tonight in a double elimination!! Yes you read right. Double!

Make sure you watch tonight at 8pm on ITV and check back here afterwards!

The X Factor - The Final 12

When you read this, think that the X Factor Voiceover man is saying it from..... now!

Dannii Minouge and the Boys, Aiden Grimshaw, Nicolo Festa and Matt Cardle.

Cheryl Cole and the Girls, Cher Lloyd, Katie Waissel and Rebecca Ferguson.

Louis Walsh and the Over 28's, Storm Lee, John Adeleye and Mary Byrne.

Simon Cowell and and the Groups

Belle Amie

1 Direction

and FYD

So there's our 12 finalists. BUT, wait there's more. A Big Twist! We previously mentioned that there would be a big twist in the live show on October 9th. It's rumored that it will be a 'wild-card' where the mentor of each category brings back someone they said no to at judges houses to join the competition but not confirmed.

So what do think of the judges choices? Some were controversial and some were a given. Who's your favourite? Who will win? Let us know!
