The producers of the show are reportedly planning on introducing a 5th judge.Recently, Simon Cowell invited 20 fans of the show to a brian-storming session on how to improve the show.
The idea to introduce a guest 5th judge during the live shows was received well. The idea is to make the vote more clear-cut in the wake of Treyc Cohen's controversial elimination from the show last weekend.
If there's a 5th judge and one judge opts out of voting like Cheryl did at the weekend, then the vote would still go to Deadlock, but the problem is, if all the judges vote, it would never go to Deadlock, which is sometimes a better way of eliminating people from the competition.
According to an insider, one idea is to have whoever is performing on the show, be a guest judge during the vote.
It is unknown when the rumored change will come into affect.
