FlashForward coming true?

Remember ABC's FlashForward? It was going to be the new Lost. It was going to be amazing and have the audience hooked. It got cancelled after one season? Yeah that's the one. If you watched the show, you will know that one of the effects of the global blackout was a certain of type of bird, all dying at the same time.

Well now it appears to be happening for real! Over 3000 Red-Winged Blackbird's all fell from the sky on New Year's Eve over a town in Arkansa, United States of America. It's undetermined what caused them to fly into each other and die. Scary. Apparently a load of fish and crabs have mysteriously died too. What does this mean and why is this happening?
