Corrie's 50th - Corrie: The Road to Coronation Street

Calling all Coronation Street fans, new and old alike! If you haven't already, I suggest you watch this drama that aired on BBC4 last Thursday.

It's about the beginning of Corrie. How an actor turned writer fought for his show to be seen by the public. It's full of drama, laughs, emotion and goodness. Jessie Wallace was surprisingly good and her northern accent was fantastic. I didn't think she could pull it off but she did. I'm so pleased that 50 years later, it's still going strong.

I've obviously not watched Coronation Street from the very start. I don't think I know anyone who has. But this is a great piece of television. I highly recommend you watch it, even if your not a Corrie fan.

Here's the link to BBC iPlayer. Watch it quick as it's only available until this coming Sunday!
