The X Factor - Live Shows Week Four: The Results

So it's time for the results and after a good performance from Bon Jovi and the contestants, a frosty performance from Jamiroquai because of his comments about Cheryl and Dannii and a great performance from Rihanna, in the sing off were:

Belle Amie

Katie Waisell

After both acts sang for their survival,

Simon sent home Katie.
Cheryl sent home Belle Amie.
Dannii sent home Bell Amie.
Louis sent home Katie.

Which brought us to our first deadlock of the series and they revert back to the public vote and the act with the lowest votes were:

Yes, Belle Amie were voted out of the competition in their 2nd time in the bottom 2. It was going to happen sooner or later. The sad thing is, they gave a great Judges House performance and then the live shows were just lackluster. Also the fact, girl-bands just don't do well on this show. Bye girls.

What did you think tonight's performances and results?

Strictly Come Dancing - Week Five: The Results

So time for the results of this week.

In the bottom two were:
Felicity and Vincent
Tina and Jared

And the person how was eliminated was:

Sadly, Tina and Jared were voted out of the competition, which is a real shame and unexpected. It's come to this point where there's someone who is a bad dancer but gives entertainment staying in the competition over good dancers.

What did you make of tonight's elimination?

Top of The Pops

31/10/10 - 7/11/10

  1. (-)Cheryl Cole - Promise This
  2. (-)Rihanna - Only Girl (In The World)
  3. (1)Bruno Mars - Just The Way You Are
  4. (4)Cee Lo Green - F**k You
  5. (6)Mike Posner - Cooler Than Me
  6. (5)Katy Perry - Firework
  7. (3)Duck Sauce - Barbara Streisand
  8. (11)Nelly - Just A Dream
  9. (2)The Wanted - Heart Vacancy
  10. (8)Tinie Tempah - Written In The Stars (Featuring Eric Turner)

Wor Chezza has stormed to the top of the charts obviously and scored herself the fastest selling single of 2010 so far! Rihanna scored second place in the chart battle. Meanwhile no other new entries for the top 10 other than Nelly.

Over in the album charts, Kings of Leon have denied Joe McElderry a number 1, which is a shame. He settled for 3rd.

The X Factor - Live Shows Week Four

This will be controversial but Strictly was sooo much better than X Factor tonight. They didn't really embrace the Halloween theme and the majority of the performances weren't all that good!

Let's have a look at the best and worst performances.

Best:

Stunning. I'm really love Cher Lloyd after this performance. Easily the best of the night. I don't understand where the Halloween theme comes into this but for this performance I don't mind. It was brilliant!

Rebecca never really stood out for me, but there's no denying she's an incredible singer. I would like to see her do an upbeat song but this was still fantastic.

I really like One Direction. They've been doing some great songs and I love this version of 'Total Eclipse of The Heart'. Well done lads.

Worst:

I don't like Paige. I don't like his voice.

I must mention other people but I wouldn't put them in the worst section. Mary, Aiden and Belle Amie were a huge let down which is sad.

What did you think of this week's show?

Make sure you watch the results show tonight at 8 and check back here after.

Strictly Come Dancing - Week Five

What a game changer this show was. Some of the people constantly in the middle of the leader-board stepped up and one front runner took a stumble.

Let's take a look at this week's leader-board.

Scott Maslen & Natalie Lowe – 39
Kara Tointon & Artem Chigvintsev – 37
Matt Baker & Aliona Vilani – 34
Patsy Kensit & Robin Windsor – 31
Jimi Mistry & Flavia Cacace – 30
Michelle Williams & Brendan Cole - 29
Tina O'Brien & Jared Murillo – 28
Pamela Stephenson & James Jordan - 27
Felicity Kendal & Vincent Simone - 26
Gavin Henson & Katya Virshilas 26
Ann Widdecombe & Anton Du Beke - 16

So Ssssssssscott has gone and got himself 3 10's and well deserved they were!   Poor Pamela however. That's a hefty stumble she took there. I guess I was wrong last week about this being the beginning of her end maybe? Either way she's not in a good place. Meanwhile, Kara Tointon was on fire! And look at Patsy Kensit 4th from the top! Who knew! A lot of great dances tonight. it appears everyone, well almost everyone has stepped up their game. Also did anyone catch that bust up between Brendan Cole and judge Len Goodman? Draaamaaa!

So let's look at the best and worst dances of the night.

Best:

Scott Malsen is the breakout star of this competition. Three 10's in week five? That's impressive. It must be Natalie Lowe. Remember her last year with Ricky Whittle? Yeah. Amazing stuff from Scott!

Finally! She's here. I thought Kara would do well but her recent dances weren't up to much but this is fantastic. Well done you.

Worst:

It's time to go Ann. I think after this week people who can dance are going to start leaving instead of you and that's when it gets complicated and controversial. You are fun but at the end of the day this is a dance competition.

Did you enjoy the show? Did anyone surprise you? Who was your favourite?

For interviews and backstage gossip, make sure you watch Claudia Winkleman on It Take Two, weeknights on BBC2 at 6:30!

Baby Your A Firework!

Come On, Show Them What Your Worth!

Amazing stuff. I wasn't even that keen on this song when I first heard it but the more you listen to it, the more amazing it gets and this video is also amazing! I love Katy Perry. I still can't believe we are going to see her in April.

What do you think about the video?

Take That are quite popular

Tickets for the recently announced Take That tour went on sale on Friday morning. Obviously there was plenty of demand for tickets. So much so ticketmaster crashed as did the phone lines.

The group managed to sell over 1 million tickets in 1 day! There was 3 times more demand that when Michael Jackson's This Is It! tickets went on sale. The band who have been rejoined by former member Robbie Williams, added several extra dates to keep up with the demand for tickets. It took some people more than 5 hours to get their tickets to the show.

For that effort it better be one hell of a show! Did you have any bother getting tickets? Tell us your stories.

The Inbetweeners are coming back!

Yeah. Channel 4 has announced there will be 2 specials next year after the movie!

An entire 4th series has been ruled out but after the movie which involves the group going away on holiday, 2 specials will be aired on E4. It was though the movie would round off the series but I guess now these two last episodes will instead. Hopefully this show won't turn into The Royle Family and keep coming back every year and it's gets more rubbish.

Hello Captain

Ever since Chris Evans was cast as Captain America, I've been dying to see him in action.

This may not be action but here he is on the front of a magazine.

He look's fantastic. I'm so excited to see this film! What do you think of The First Avenger? Does he look good?

The Audriana Show gets picked up.

Audrina Patridge, former star of MTV's The Hills has reportedly signed up for a reality show on VH1.

Audrina, who starred in all 6 seasons of The Hills (only cast member to do so) was rumored to be getting her own show after The Hills ended. Nothing came of it until now. Audrina was recently eliminated from Dancing With The Stars in America, despite having the 2nd highest score! The show will be about her life and her family and VH1 are looking to pick up 8-10 episodes.

I'll watch it. I've always liked Audrina. What about you?

Soap Watch

In Corrie, Bev Callard who plays Liz McDonald is leaving the soap after playing the character since 1989! The pub landlord will bow out of the soap next year. In other news apparently a relative of Roy Cropper will join the show next year. The character will obviously cause trouble for Roy and Hayley. Finally, has Tracy Barlow's return plot been revealed? Apparently, she will be cleared off killing Charlie Stubbs during a retrial and returns to the street to cause chaos to Gail Platt, the McDonalds and her parents.

Over in the square, the show will air in HD for the first time on Christmas Day it's been revealed. The show recently destroyed it's pub for the switch to HD.

In the Dales, not much going on other than the verdict in Ryan's trial for killing Mark, which he was framed for by Mark's wife who actually did it and his twisted son was a surprising guilty! I'm sure they'll be plenty more twists and turns in the story!

That basically. Also last Saturday Hollyoaks turned 15. So happy birthday! There'll be on-screen celebration but next year there will be for their 'Sweet 16th'

All quite in Australia I'm afraid.

The 2010-2011 TV Season - ABC cancels The Whole Truth

ABC have canceled another of it's new shows this season.

The Whole Truth which stars Maura Tierney has been cancelled after 4 episodes. The legal drama will have all 13 episodes of it's original order filmed and broadcast however. This is the 4th cancellation of the new season.

The 2010-2011 TV Season - ABC picks up full seasons

ABC have picked up two of it's shows for full seasons.

No Ordinary Family has been picked up. The show, which stars Michael Chiklis is about a family which gains mysterious super powers. ABC have previously ordered more episodes of the show and now picked it up for a full season of 22 episodes. Watch plan to show it in The UK in January 2011.

Better with You has been picked up. The show stars Joanna Garcia is about 3 different couple is different stages in their relationships. It has no UK channel yet.

In other ABC TV news Detroit 1-8-7 also received a few extra scripts.

The X Factor - Glee cast to perform?

How amazing would this be?

Apparently, Simon Cowell has negotiated a deal for the Glee Cast to perform a medley of their songs during one of the results show. Although it's been said there are a few teething problems. Both production team's want to be in charge and it could cause arguments.

Sort it out guys. Imagine how amazing this would be? The X Factor is where the world's biggest stars come to perform and Glee are one of the biggest and most popular right now so this is ideal. Especially with the second season coming to our screens in January on E4.

It's also rumored that Kylie Minogue will be preform on the 7th November show. Kylie has previously sang with eventual 2007 winner Leon Jackson on the show and appeared as sister and judge Dannii Minogue's help during Judges Houses in 2009.

Confirmed to perform on the show this week are Bon Jovi, Jamiroquai and Rihanna!

The City has been Axed!

Today is a sad day.

Whitney Port, star of the MTV show has confirmed the show will not be returning for a third season. While on The Ryan Seacrest show, when asked about the show she replied "As of right now, it doesn't look like we're doing it anymore". When asked wether the show could move to another network, Port replied "No, not at this point."

I'm gutted. The show finally found it's feet in the second season and I grew to love alot of the characters. Where will we get our Whitney Port fix? Our Erin and Seth fix? Joe Zee? OLIVIA PALERMO? Who am I going to love to hate now? (there's plenty of other people I know)

Sad times indeed. At least we have Lauren Conrad's show still to look forward to, which has started filming by the way. Happy times.

The X Factor - Cheryl's Performance

That was bloody amazing! I literally had to stop and sit down and watch and not blink. Fantastic stuff. What do you think?

The X Factor - Live Shows Week Three: The Results

Time for the results show and only one act will be leaving this week.
After amazing performances from Michael Buble and Wor Cheryl Cole, in the bottom two were:
John Adeleye

Treyc Cohen

Louis sent home Treyc.
Dannii sent home John.
Cheryl sent home John.
Simon sent home John.

The right person has left. John was boring and didn't stand out at all. I feel like Wagner should go next. As much as I love his performances, Louis has turned him into a joke on purpose, like he did with Jedward last year. It's not fair to them.

Are you happy with who left and who do you want to leave next week?

Strictly Come Dancing - Week Four: The Results

So we here go with the results!

In the bottom two were

Peter and Erin
Michelle and Brendan

And the person who was eliminated was...

Again, the right person has left the competition. As much as I love Ann for entertainment value, she should be next.

Are you happy with who went?

Again make sure you watch Claudia on It Take Two weeknights at 6:30 on BBC2.

Top of The Pops

24/10/10 - 31/10/10

  1. (2)Bruno Mars - Just The Way You Are
  2. (-)The Wanted - Heart Vacancy
  3. (3)Duck Sauce - Barbra Streisand
  4. (1)Cee Lo Green - F**k You
  5. (-)Katy Perry - Firework (No Video Yet)
  6. (9)Mike Posner - Cooler Than Me
  7. (4)Swedish House Mafia - Miami 2 Ibiza (featuring Tinie Tempah)
  8. (8)Tinie Tempah - Written in the Stars (featuring Eric Turner)
  9. (-)Jay Sean - 2012 (It Ain't The End) (featuring Nicki Minaj)
  10. (-)N-Dubz - Best Behaviour

Bruno Mars is back to the top spot. Most likely to Matt Cardle's X Factor Performance of the song. Plenty of new entries. The Wanted storm into 2nd place with their 2nd single 'Heart Vacancy'. Odd times. It's a great song though. Another X Factor influence, Katy Perry landing at 5 without a video! I still can't over that I'm going to see her in person! (Screams).

Other new entries include Jay Sean with 2012 (I can't believe he made a song about it. it's nothing to be happy about really) and N-Dubz new single. The hype has died down for them now I think. All other singles were in the chart last week.

Over in the Albums Chart, Kings of Leon have scored the biggest selling album in it's first week of the year so far!

The X Factor - Live Shows Week Three

This week it's "Guilty Pleasure's". I'm going to start off by saying this is the most weirdest week ever. Guilty Pleasure's? Really? Oh well.

Anyway let's crack on and look at my best and worst performances.

The Best Performances:

I don't like Cher Lloyd, but this was great. I can't get it out of my head. Good for her.

Obviously Mary Bryne is in this section. She's amazing, but like I said last week and even a couple of judges this week said the same.

Another surprise this week. Katie was a great. Again, same as Cher, I don't like her but this was really good.

The Awful Performances:

I don't know a single person who talks about or even likes John. He should leave soon. Louis is a terrible mentor.

And that's your lot. Make sure you watch the results tonight at 8 on ITV and check back here incase you miss it!

Strictly Come Dancing - Week Four

This week it's either the Tango or the Charleston. Let's take a look at the leader-board.

Scott Maslen & Natalie Lowe – 35
Matt Baker & Aliona Vilani – 35

Pamela Stephenson & James Jordan – 34
Kara Tointon & Artem Chigvintsev - 32
Tina O'Brien & Jared Murillo – 29
Felicity Kendal & Vincent Simone - 29
Patsy Kensit & Robin Windsor – 28
Michelle Williams & Ian Waite - 27
Jimi Mistry & Flavia Cacace – 27
Gavin Henson & Katya Virshilas 23
Ann Widdecombe & Anton Du Beke - 21
Peter Shilton & Erin Boag – 17

As you can see, for the first time since the show started Pamela Stephenson is not at the top of the leader-board. Is this the beginning of the decline? Probably not. She was still amazing though. The usually people are in the usual places. I don't mention them but I think I will this time. Kara Tointon, Tina O'Brien, Felicity Kendla, Patsy Kensit, Michelle Williams and Jimi Mistry are hover around the middle section of the table. None of them have either risen or fell into the bottom during the 4 weeks. They are good, but they dont stand out, although I have to give a special mention to Patsy Kensit. She was amazing tonight. Gavin Henson, Ann Widdecombe and Peter Shilton remain at the bottom. Ann was amazing as ever and Peter Shilton was terrible. Like seriously. Jeez.

So let's take a look at the best and worst dances of the night.

Best:

Scott Maslen and Natalie Lowe dancing the Tango. Wow. Scott has constantly been great and this is just amazing. Well done him.

Matt Baker and Aliona Vilani dancing the Charleston. Again he's been constantly good and this is fantastic.

Pamela Stephenson and James Jordan dancing the Tango. She's just amazing.

There are no words.

Worst:

Peter Shilton and Erin Boag dancing the Charleston. Awful.

Special Mention:

Patsy Kensit and Robin Windsor dancing the Charleston. I really liked it, shame the judges didn't so much.

And that's your lot. Tune in tomorrow night at 7:30 to see who leaves the competition.

For interviews and backstage gossip, watch Claudia Winkleman on It Takes Two, weeknights at 6:30 on BBC2.
