Soap Watch
Just one week to go! The excitement is building and new spoilers have come to light, but I didn't read them. Also, the cast have begun rehearsing for the live episode next Thursday. They are very nervous. I hope nothing goes wrong and I hope the snow doesn't affect it either! In casting news, former Hollyoaks star Chris Fountain has joined the soap as Tommy Duckworth, Jack and Vera's grandson. Good to see the Duckworth name will be back on the street, but Tommy doesn't fall far from the tree and takes after his evil father Terry. Chris will be seen on screen in March. Also for the 50th celebrations, Corrie have released an album which you can buy here.
Long time cast member June Brown who plays Dot Cotton has cause a bit controversy in an interview with Fern Britton. The 83 year old has said found her time frustrating and did not want to die playing just a soap character. She doesn't believe she's successful and she want to play wonderful characters like Dame Judi Dench. Bit rude of her. She should grateful right? What do you think of her comments?
As you may have read previously on here, Emmerdale's series producer Gavin Blyth died on Saturday at the age of 41. What a sad thing to happen. That man made Emmerdale great again and boosted the ratings significantly and created some fantastic characters and storylines! Such a shame. A replacement has yet to be announced.
The previously announced one-off late night special of Hollyoaks has changed dates. it was originally supposed to air on Thursday 16th December at 10PM on Channel 4 but now has moved a day earlier, same time and channel. The episode features Jacqui, Rhys and Gilly getting into trouble with gangster Danny Houston.
Over in Australia, Paul Robinson is to surprised "wife" Rebecca with a surprise wedding to renew their vows. Rebecca is currently being blackmailed to stay with Paul after she pushed him in 6000th episode! Just as her new romance with principle Michael Williams starts, Paul springs the wedding on her and she's forced to go through with it. He's a bit of a mad one! Sam Fitzgerald is like a cockroach. She just won't go away. Yes, the bitch is back AGAIN! This time for 4 week guest stint to prosecute Steph Scully after she accidently ran over and killed Ringo Brown. Oh the drama! And she's saying she could be back again! Go away!
