It's day 2 for us but only a few seconds has passed for the residents of Coronation Street after last left them.
It's now time to come to terms with what has happened to them and begin the rescue attempt to save their families, their friends and their neighbours.
In this episode: Lloyd, Chris, Jason, Eddie, Dev, Cheryl, Ciaran and Kirk all make it out of The Joinery. However, Nick, Ashley and Peter are still trapped in the office which is about to collapse any minute and Peter is seriously injured. It's revealed Grahame is not in the flat like Tina said he was. He would have most likely been killed if he was. Rita's cries for help from The Kabin go unheard as everyone thinks she's in town with a friend. Sunita is found by Becky at the back of the Corner Shop and is gravely injured. Baby Jack's cries are heard and Kevin, Tyrone and the rest of the Websters help clear the rubble to get to the baby and Molly. Cheryl looks for her son Russ. Lloyd kicks down the door at Number 13 and an explosion throws him to the cobbles. Number 13 is engulfed with flames. Claire, Joshua, Freddie, Russ, Aadi and Asha all make it out with the help of the residents. Simon however ran upstairs when the explosion happened and is now trapped. Jason runs in and finds Simon but now the pair are trapped in the burning house.
Meanwhile, Fizz, now in the factory thanks to Carla and Maria, is having contractions and could possibly loose the baby if she does not get to hospital. John finds her. No mention or sighting of Charlotte. Dr Carter is tending the casualties and begs Gail for help. In The Rovers, Sean, Janice and Julie are helping the wounded, while Gary begins having a breakdown after just coming back from the army. Max is also still missing. The emergency services finally arrive and the episode ends.
It was a great episode! High drama, great visuals and acting and they even managed to get some humor in there. Good old Corrie. Great episode. Can't wait for tomorrow's.
