I did miss last week's edition due to the destruction of Coronation Street but it's back and expect lots more news.
The big story from Corrie is obviously the tram crash that rocked the street for it's 50th anniversary. 3 main characters died in the disaster. Ashley Peacock was crushed under the viaduct saving Nick Tilsely and Peter Barlow. Molly Dobbs died after being trapped in the Corner Shop. Lastly, crazy Charlotte was attacked with a hammer by John before the crash happened. He then placed her body in the rubble of the crash and it was revealed she was still alive. At the hospital, her life support machine was turned off. A unknown character also died in a car that was driving past the Joinery when it exploded. The week included a live episode which was very successful! No messed up lines or any problems.
In the aftermath, Nick Tilsely and Owen Armstrong will be blamed for the carnage because they did not file a report for the problem with the gas in the kitchen. Peter, after being seriously injured will fall of the wagon and start drinking again after he placed in a wheelchair. Also producer's have teased, John's storyline is far from over.
It's all been a bit quite on the square of late. Just Lacey Turner saying how she's gonna miss the square and she thinks every episode should be live.
Nothing really going on here either.
Hollyoaks have announced a dark murder plot for Christmas. Student India Longford will be brutally murdered after an experiment with internet dating goes horribly wrong. When he date fails to show up, India is left upset, but she soon gets a text asking her to meet outside. India leaves her friends and goes to see her date. In the alley, she is attacked and killed. Her body is discovered the next day to the horror and shock of the residents of Hollyoaks Village.
The Neighbours crew is going to be cut back it's been reported. The amount of cameras used is being cut down, the amount of outside studio shoots are being rolled back. The location manager and catering team are also being let go. It's all part of the change for 2011 when they move channels. Executive producer Susan Bower has promised a good year for the soap. With the move, the rating of the show will move from a G to a PG. They will continue to push the boundaries with storylines while maintaining the family values of the show.
