Strictly Come Dancing - Alesha Dixon Admits To Over-Marking

Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon, who took part in the show 2 years ago and won, has admitted she over-marks the contestants.

The singer was criticized last weekend, for giving Scott Malsen and dance partner Natalie Lowe a 9 out of a possible 10, despite the Eastender's star forgetting a large chunk of his routine.

Speaking on It Takes Two with Claudia Winkleman she said: "I always agree with Craig's scoring, I just try to be a bit nicer to them. In hindsight, it probably should have been an eight for Scott. But I've been on the show and completely blagged a section on my foxtrot, where the judges all gave me nines. The parts that Scott got right, I really liked. And I knew Craig would crucify him. I was trying to even it out a bit."

It's not about hurting their feelings! It's about letting them know if they were good or not and what they should improve on if they went wrong, and Scott went massively wrong and she gave him a 9, while Matt Baker was brilliant and got an 8. The scoring on Strictly has always caused controversy with either Alesha scoring too high, or Craig Revel Horwood scoring too low. Personally I always agree with Craig's scoring. If they are rubbish like Ann, give her the scores she deserves (1's) not 5's like the other judges.

How do you feel about this? Should Alesha re-think her scoring strategy?
