Producer of the show and mentor of the band, Simon Cowell has already called in producers and song writers to begin working on material for the band. According to a source it's a done deal and the writers and producers have already been pitching ideas to the group.
It's also been said Simon want the group to be edgier than they appear on the show. Although they are young, he doesn't want them to be cheesy and even compared them to the likes of JLS and East 17.
The group will perform in the semi-finals of the show this weekend.
So what do you think about this? Is it against the rules to be already doing this? I like One Direction and they will be successful wether they win the show or not but clearly Simon is worried about the groups chances if he's sorting all of this out before the competition is over and the winner is crowned.
