Metro Radio Live!

So, like I mentioned yesterday, SaMeesh were lucky enough to attend a celebration of pour 15 years of our local radio station, Metro Radio! It was such a great night. The energy of the audience was electric and the acts were amazing (most of them)!

Diana Vickers (AKA The Claw/The Vickers) performed first and she was good! She sang Once, Put It Back Together and My Wicked Heart.

Alexis Jordan sang next. She's quite unknown and wasn't all that great if I'm honest.

Then Alesha Dixon came on and she was amazing! She interacted with the audience well and did a great performance of Drummer Boy, Radio and The Boy Does Nothing! And she laughed too. I swear, her laugh is the funniest thing I've heard! Also, she flogged the wrong show! She was talking about The X Factor, not Strictly (although she did slip it in at the end).

Then Olly Murs performed! The crowd went a bit crazy! He was really good. I wish I had his album so I knew the words to his songs but it was still all good!

The they took a break and had this DJ playing which was great. Had a bit dance while we waited for the next act...

...which was the reason why I wanted to go. The Saturdays! They came out all powerful and epic singing Just Can't Get Enough and then moved on to Missing You, and then Up, and then Higher and then Ego to finish their set off. They were blooming amazing! So good live! Loved them!

Then this happened. Nadine Coyle came out. The whole arena had a collective brain and just sat down and waited for the next act, while she performed! Not a good time. Shame is, she is a good singer, but nobody knew her songs because nobody went to Tesco to buy her album.

Luckily the next act saved the day! Alexandra Burke came out and was so good! She started off slow by singing her new single The Silence and then sped things up with hits like Start Without You and Bad Boys! Fantastic!

Then I was literally deafened by the screaming for The Wanted! It was so loud and they were soo good! They sang their new single Loose My Mind which surprisingly the majority of the audience new the words to and then they sang the other hits, Heart Vacancy and of course All Time Low and they did jump around like idiots like they do in their video. Great stuff!

Finally. The last act came out to many, many screams! Jaaaaaaaaaason Derulooo! Believe it or not, when Jason first came onto the scene I didn't like him for the pure fact he sang his name at the beginning of songs! Now it's my favourite thing about him! He was great. He's such a fantastic dancer. Didn't really talk to us all that much. At one point at the end of a song he just walked off the stage! Everyone was wondering where he had gone. Some people thought it was the end of the show and started to leave! But he eventually came back and sang In My Head! Amazing!
