Strictly Come Dancing - Semi Finals Part 1

So here we are on a Friday yet again! It's part 1 of the semi finals and we have 5 couples left fighting to get through the final. 2 eliminations on Sunday and they were dancing for their places. Tonight they all danced normally, and then came together for a Swingathon.

Let's have a look at Round 1's leader-board.

Kara Tointon & Artem Chigvintsev – 39
Pamela Stephenson & James Jordan – 35
Scott Maslen & Natalie Lowe – 33
Matt Baker & Aliona Vilani – 28
Gavin Henson & Katya Virshilas - 27

So lets take a look at Round 1's dances. There's no good or bad anymore due to there only being 5 contestants left.

First up were Pamela and James dancing the Paso Doble and it was brilliant! All the right energy and facial expressions and steps. Great dance and song too!

Next was Kara and Artem dancing the Viennese Waltz and it was flawless unless your Craig Revel Horwood. Beautiful.

Next was Gavin and Katya dancing the Samba. Not that good Gavin. Deffo the worst of the 5 left. I mean your not awful, but your not great and don't really have a chance of winning to be honest.

Next was Scott and Natalie dancing the Argentine Tango and it was good. Not great, but good. Could do a lot better.

Finally, we have Matt and Aliona dancing the Salsa which got slated by the Judges. In my opinion it was alright but I'm not the expert that's looking for mistakes and stuff. Better luck next time?

So after those dances we moved on to the first ever Swingathon where all 5 couples danced at the same time until the judges kick them off the dance floor one by one.

Ha! What a weird experience. Another win for Kara!

So what did you think of tonight's show? Make sure you watch tomorrow's show too at 6PM.
