The 2011-2012 TV Season - CBS secures the CSI franchise

They are safe! So claims CBS President Nina Tassler.

The long running CSI franchise had a bit of a shake-up this season, when these two spin-offs moved days and timeslots and suffered for it in the ratings. There was plenty speculation that both shows would be cancelled leaving just the original CSI left, but Tassler has squashed rumors, telling reporter that both shows are in no danger of cancellation. She said:
"Both are doing incredibly well in new time periods, given what was there before," she insisted. "As long as those shows continue to be competitive and as long as fans continue to watch those shows, they'll continue to stay on the air. Both shows have opened up more to reveal the more personal elements of [characters'] lives," she suggested. "Add in the Sela Ward character (Jo Danville) on CSI: NY this year and I think we certainly know from audiences and from research that people were interested in her personal life."
In our household, we are big fans of CSI and CSI:NY. Not so much CSI: Miami. Horatio Cane has to be the most annoying character I've ever come across in TV. What's with those bloody sunglasses?

Yeah so are you happy that she's claimed these two shows are safe? Do you even believe her?
