Strictly Come Dancing - Week One

So the new series of Strictly Come Dancing kicked off good and proper this weekend with 2 shows and 14 couples dancing! Nobody left this week. All couples will return next week to dance again and the scores from this week will be added to next week's along with the viewers vote.

Both shows were great in my opinion. There were a few surprises. Matt Baker defied my expectations, as did Gavin Henson and Pamela Stephenson. Paul Daniels is just a failure. Ann Widdecombe was immense. I expect her to be the new John Sargent and we all know how that turned out. Michelle Williams was a real let down. I expected great things from her but it just wasn't.

The 2010-2011 TV Season - My Generation Cancelled

The 2010-2011 TV Season has been going on for little under a month and already we have the 2nd cancellation of the season.

ABC has cancelled My Generation after 2 episodes airing. The season premiere gained a respectable 5.22 million viewers, but the 2nd episode crashed to 3.9 million viewers. ABC announced it's cancellation today but have not said what will take it's Thursday night 8pm time slot. 


I think it's safe to say that nobody will be bothered by this. 

The X Factor - Longest Show Ever

Are you prepared to sit and watch X Factor for 2 and a half hours? 

On October 9th, ITV will air 2 and a half hour of X Factor as the 12 finalists sing in the first live show to gain a place in the next show. This will be longest episode in the history of X Factor. A spokesman for ITV has said the length of the episode is because of a 'surprise' to the viewers. 

Can you handle this much X Factor? What will the surprise be? I'm just a bit excited to be honest. 

So We Don't Repeat Ourselves, Here's Yeah 3x

Chris Brown is a tough subject. Yes he hit Rihanna, but he payed for it. I do like his music. 'Forever' is one of my favourite songs. Also a song he did called Pass Out with Eva Simmons from is 2nd album. Amazing. 


This. This right here is A-MAZING! It's from is latest album F.A.M.E and it's called Yeah 3x. It makes me want to dance alot! I love it, but what do you think?

Britney scores Glee's highest ever ratings!

We all love Glee! We all love Britney Spears! (and don't lie to yourself, you do) What do you get when these two come together? BIG ratings!!!

The 2nd episode of Glee's 2nd Season aired last night in American. It featured Britney Spears songs and the lady her self as seen above! The ratings for the episode came in today and wow is the only word. 13.3 million people tuned in to see the Glee kids sing some of Ms. Spears amazing songs. This is the show's highest rating. 

I can't wait to see it! If anyone you have seen it, what did you think? Please don't give any spoilers unless you warn us first! 

Whitney Port Unsure about The City

Star of MTV's The City, Whitney Port has said she is unsure if the series will get renewed for a third season! 

Speaking to Us Weekly in Los Angles, where Whitney originally starred on The Hills, Whitney said that she was unsure if the show would be renewed and that she will consider moving back to the West Coast if the show isn't renewed but no matter what she will continue her clothing line. 

Uuugh, I really hope they don't cancel it! Last season's finale got the highest ratings ever, although it was pretty lackluster, but it was so much better than The Hills towards the end of the season. I found my self preferring The City over The Hills and that's saying something. Where am I going to get my Erin Kaplan and Seth Plattner fix from? And Olivia Palermo! 

So would you be upset if The City got cancelled? 

MAJOR CRINGE ALERT

The presenter of Australia's Next Top Model was left red faced during the final of the show when she announced the winner wrong! Massive Cringe!

So, Sarah Murdoch was fed the wrong information through an ear piece and announced the winner as Kelsey Martinovich. She even began making her acceptance speech before the producers realized she hadn't won. Watch it happen: 

Cringing so much right now. Imagine that happening to you. I would be devastated!!

The 2010-2011 TV Season - Lone Star Cancelled

The 2010-2011 TV Season has had it's first victim. 

FOX's Lone Star was cancelled today after just 2 episodes airing. The Series premiere gained 4.06 million viewers which was very disappointing. The recently aired 2nd episode had a dismal 3.2 million views. The show was received well by the critics and Michael Ausiello, EW.com's TV Blogger named it as his favourite new show but also the first likely to be cancelled. Last week there was rumors of Lone Star being cancelled, but FOX denied them. Now the axe has fallen and the series creator is said to be "gobsmacked" at the ratings and cancellation. Lie to Me, which wasn't supposed to start until November, will take the show's time slot. 

The show was picked up by Sky1 to be shown in the UK and it is unknown wether they will show the 6 episodes made. 

MTV orders Pilot of The Inbetweeners

Oh no! Those are the only words that can be used to describe this.

MTV in America, have order a pilot to be made, based on E4's hit comedy series, The Inbetweeners! This can only be disastrous. They can't remake our shows. They've tried remaking Shameless, Gavin & Stacey, Skins and they won't work at all. So are they expecting this too? It's funny because it's normal(ish) British people. It wouldn't work with American people (no offense to you). The only remake I know of that's popular is The Office but, I personally find it terrible because of my hate for Ricky Gervias! US remakes of British shows just do not work so I don't understand why they try. Even PerezHilton called the US Skins a terrible idea!

Bruno Mars has stormed the chart this week with his debut song. It is a good song, but did you hear about his arrest? Bad boy. 2 other new entries include the winner of Must Be The Music's Emma's Imagination and Alex Guadino from the Ministry of Sound. Beside that, not much has changed another than Alexandra Burke dropping 4 places and Shontelle moving up 1. 

Too Much Cleavage?

The producers of Sesame Street have pulled this music video from the show after complaints from parents (mothers) about Katy's clothes. TOO MUCH CLEAVAGE? As far as I'm aware there can never be too much of Katy Perry's cleavage! I think it's a total over reaction. Elmo doesn't wear ANY clothes for god sake and he doesn't get pulled up on it.

The Lindsay Lohan Saga - Freed From Jail

One for the collection. 

I feel angry typing this tbh. Lindsay Lohan has been freed from jail after just 15 hours! A different judge overturned Judge Fox's decision to keep her in jail without bail until 22nd October. Bailed was posted at $300,000 and was payed straight away. 


This is so ridiculous it's made me angry. Why has she been released? She needs some jail time. I know last time didn't exactly work or the time before that, because we wouldn't be here if it had but another stint in jail could make her see sense. Don't do drugs you silly girl! 


How do you feel about this? Should they have kept Lindsay in jail? 

Lauren Conrad is Back!

We got all excited when we heard this piece of news. Our beloved Lauren Conrad, star of the Hills, clothes designer and author, is returning to her roots at MTV!

The beautiful woman will be returning to MTV screens as part of a new reality show which will focus on her latest clothing line. It will sadly, not follow her life, but I'm sure there'll be snippets of it right? Maybe the odd cameo of other Hills cast members? What's Lauren Conrad without a bit of Lo Bosworth right? Hmms. It does sound like, friend Whitney Port's, MTV show, The City, but who cares? It's Lauren fricking Conrad! We love her so much, we'd watch anything she does. Speaking of, you should read her books. They are so, so, so good and very addictive.

The Lindsay Lohan Saga - Jailed (Again)

Lindsay Lohan was in court today after failing her second drug test. 

And she wasn't let off. The judge denied Lindsay bail and she was taken into custody. Lohan will be held in custody until 22nd October! She made her way out of Los Angeles Superior Court in handcuffs and as decided by Judge Fox, she will not be released until that date. 

Good! Maybe this time it'll sink in? What do you guys think?
