Hello you people who want spoilers! Right let's get to it. Art Director Andrew Ackland-Snow has revealed that Professor Snape who is played by Alan Rickman will not die where he died in the book.
In the final book, during the Battle of Hogwarts (which is my favourite chapter from the entire series of books and the scene I am most looking forward to in the film) Voldermort and his snake Nagini kill Snape in The Shrieking Shack. But in the film, the death scene won't happen here. Ackland-Snow explains:
"We wanted to change a bit where Snape dies. In the book, he dies in the Shrieking Shack, and we wanted to get him out from, not a conventional interior, but from that kind of box, to do it in a more dramatic atmosphere. We asked J.K. if she agreed for that to happen in there, because we hadn't really seen it before."
"We made a crystal house, and you can see what happens in the boat house from there - Are you listening Harry? - but also the school is in flames... and she loved it. Besides, it's a very romantic place to die. Snape dies in an extremely good way, I gotta say."Hopefully Potter fans won't bust their nut since it has the approval of J.K. Rowling. What do you think of the change? Will it really make much difference?
