Director Jon Favreau has decided not to return to the Iron Man franchise for round 3!

Hulk's Live Action TV Show Gets A Creative Team

We previously mentioned that Marvel Comics character The Hulk will be getting a new live action TV Series in 2012.


Now Director Guillermo del Toro and Producer David Eick are teaming up to create the series. It was announced that ABC were re-making a TV version of the character last month. Toro is attached to direct the pilot episode, while Eick will script it. It is said to focus of on the origin story of a mid-20's Bruce Banner. 


Toro said he and Eick has coalesced a respectful but powerful way of retelling the Banner/Hulk story in a fresh way. Eick added: "This is a dream opportunity to join one of my all-time filmmaking heroes... in a faithful but unique retelling of the primal, emotionally-rich tale of one of my all-time favourite comic books." A combination of computer effects, prosthetics and puppetry will be used to create the Hulk.


The series is expected to launch after the 2012 film The Avengers which features Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner and his monstrous alter-ego The Hulk is released.
I'm pretty excited to see this happen! Not only do we have The Avengers film to look forward to, we have this also! Marvel is really expanding into better things.

Disney to distribute Marvel's Films

Ever since Disney bought Marvel Entertainment, there's been plenty of speculation over who will distribute Marvel's films. Paramount Pictures have released the recent Iron Man and sequel and the latest Hulk movie. They also planned to released the upcoming Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger and The Avengers.


Now Disney has paid Paramount $115 million to move the release rights to them.

Thor starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins is released in cinemas on 20th May 2011.

Captain America: The First Avengers starring Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson and Hugo Weaving will be released on 22nd July 2011.

The Avenger starring Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Don Cheadle and Clark Gregg will be released in cinemas on 4th May 2012.

Iron Man 3 starring Robert Downey Jr, Don Cheadle and Samuel L. Jackson will be released in cinemas on 3rd May 2013.

Hulk Live Action TV Series in the works?

Apparently so. A report has said that Marvel Entertainment and ABC are working together to produce a new show about the angry green monster. 

The project is a top priority for the recently launched Marvel Television Company run by Jeph Loeb. When Disney bought Marvel last year, it was expected that we would get alot of Marvel TV Shows on Disney Owned channels like ABC and Disney XD. The last live action Hulk Show was pretty succseful but both films in the last decade weren't.
